Club Chairman

A Change at the Top……

Thanks to our outgoing Club Chairman

In November 2017 our Club Chairman Keith Buck stepped down from the role he has held for the last fifteen years. In that time he has led the growth and development of Parkdale Sidac FC from its creation with a small group of just six friends to one of the largest junior football clubs in the area. A huge achievement and one we are all extremely grateful for. Keith has coached and managed a number of teams at different age groups during that time and has enjoyed success with all of them. I’m sure all of the past players and coaches he has worked with and brought into the club would want to thank him and wish him well.

He should be immensely proud of what he has helped create and the legacy he leaves behind. Keith has moved away from the area, and taking work commitments into consideration he has taken the very difficult decision to step down as Chairman. He will continue to take a keen interest in the club and will attend some of our many planned social and fundraising events in 2018.

Welcome to our new Club Chairman

However the club is in safe hands, as his brother Andrew Buck has taken up the role of Chairman; taking over with immediate effect. Andrew has been involved with Parkdale Sidac FC from that very first training session on King George’s fields in June 2002 and has been a successful team coach, manager and more recently Club Secretary and Welfare Officer and so brings a wealth of experience to the role.

He has started on his plans to take the club forward and to continue the growth and expansion of junior football in St. Helens. His first task will be to ensure the planned housing development on the Sidac pitches does not disrupt the teams playing regular football and so identifying and relocating new playing pitches is his number one priority. Working with other PSFC Committee members, St. Helens Council, Sidac Social Club, Sport England and Liverpool County FA to safeguard the provision of suitable temporary pitches and ensuring the planned new permanent pitches meet our immediate needs and longer term plans are top of his to do list. We wish him well in the new role.
